Mixed Media Canvas ~ Happy Birthday ♥♥

       Hi friends, good day!!

       Sharing with you a mixed media canvas I made for friend's daughter who is celebrating her 1st birthday this week. 

       It's been a few weeks since I did a mixed media work & I enjoyed the process. ♥

       I took a Brustro's canvas board & pasted several layers of torn & crumpled tissue paper.

       Then applied a coat of gesso & used texture paste with Crafters Workshop & Tim Holtz stencils to create some texture. 

       Colored using Distress ink first but then switched to pink & green spray paint to add some bright colors. 

       Then brushed golden colored Inka Gold liberally over the textured area to give it a shine. And I must say I am totally in love with Inka Gold ♥♥♥

       Then I used pink & green pearlized card stock to give a frame for the kid's photo. I went with shades of pink, red, green, orange & gold to match the photo I'm using.

       Then used a flourishes stamp from ItsyBitsy to add some gold embossing to the canvas.

       Fussy cut some gold embossed leaves to added to the decor.

       Once done I applied gloss medium onto some paper flowers from ItsyBitsy & used them as decor along with the leaves. Added glossy accents to create the drops!!

       Name at the bottom handwritten & embossed with Ranger black embossing powder & highlights done with Signo white pen.

       Hand written sentiment at the back.
